Firefighter Close Calls - San Mateo County, CA

A Firefighter Close Call can happen to anyone in any department. Each day we come to work believing that it will be “an ordinary day” until the unthinkable happens and we find ourselves in a life and death situation; it can happen to the 20-year veteran or the 20-month rookie. It takes a very courageous person to step up and say, “Learn from my experience”. We have to care enough about each other to share this valuable information that could save the lives of fellow firefighters. In this seminar, we will hear from firefighters who experienced a close call and have had the courage to share the experience with others in order to prevent the next 100.
